Lake Minocqua Information
Lake Minocqua…namesake of the Minocqua Chain is 1,360 acres of clear water that invites you to explore and enjoy her many bays and islands. Located in and around the town of Minocqua, you can boat to all the amenities and services you’ll ever need: dining, shopping, groceries, or an evening “out on the town”.
There are six lakes comprising the “Minocqua Chain”: Minocqua, Tomahawk, Sunflower, Mud, Little Tomahawk and Kawaguesaga, bringing the total surface area to over 5,400 acres. The “chain” allows all water activities…power boating, water skiing, sailing, fishing, or just floating about in your inner tube. It’s also home to eagles, cormorants, seagulls, loons, herons…you may even see a whitetail deer taking a drink along it’s shoreline or a black bear swimming across a bay.
Lake Minocqua is a year ‘round destination for tourists and lake home owners alike. There’s never a time with “nothing to do”. Snowmobile trails, bike trails, hiking trails are all at your doorstep when you make Lake Minocqua your “home away from home”. |
